Pending someone getting the snow plough and undersoil heating I reckon we won’t be training tonight……
A Good night out….
Thanks to all who supported the raffle, and to those who donated prizes and a big thanks to Frank , Derek and Andy (Lord Lucan is on day release, Frank paid the bail money!) for running the raffle itself.
On the night itself, many were wondering why Shane brought us to a gay club – will it be the George next year ? There was an early scare when Hano almost missed the platters.
Among the older denizens Rory came alive when they played a couple of early 80s tracks.
Condtions were treacherous (mainly when Ross produced the shots) and unfortunately there were a number of injuries picked up. Paul K pulled his hamstring and was carried off the field of play , while Keith appeared to suffer from concussion. The Bolgers limped in together. Good to see Mark after his accident, and Neill was suffering after Ross’s hatchet job at training.
We will draw a veil over events during the rest of the evening, suffice to say a good time was had by all, and Tony Kav is not going back till they replenish the Guinness supplies, severely depleted on the night.
And the lucky winners were…..

1- Donal Breen (Fintan Grace)

Pints on Ross on Saturday…..
Congratulations to Ross Kelly for winning Last Man Standing just in time for the Christmas Party on Saturday night. Frank Mc Namee (not content with robbing goals from Mick Greene!) posted Bolton Wonders for a second time. As Bolton was the automatic pick in Week 3 Frank got the next team available to him alphabetically which was Everton.
Last Man Standing will restart in January 2011
Training resumes – Kilians Tues &Thurs at 9
LMS Week 6 – Minimium Prize €150
Please post your team for week 6 of Last Man Standing. There is NO automatic pick this week so if you dont post a team you are out. If you post a team you have already given you will be given the next available team alphabetically
December cash chase under way
With no footie or training due to weather all concentration turns to pursuit of prizes in December.
Only 4 remain in the Last Man Standing – all survived the weekend – Frank, Ross, Shane and Ian. A prize of €150 awaits the victor…
The €50 prize for Fantasy Football (for December) has started with a close leading pack including season leader Ryan Burke with well known shark Graham Breen lurking close behind. At the other end its a Scousefest. The Tasty Toffees (Mick Greene) languish in bottom place with Liverpool’s win lifting Seamus McCahill (temporarily?) out of the basement.

Update on the 40th anniversary celebration night 19th February
As befitting such an important occasion the committee have decided to make it a sit down meal (4 course) affair which the club is happy to subsidise by charging only €20 per ticket. Also, Mr John Delaney, CEO of the FAI has agreed to attend.
Tickets will go on sale in early January. It should be a great night for all players, past and present and their partners.
Please keep an eye on the Page above for any further updates.
Don’t forget we have the Christmas night out in the meantime on December 18th.
LMS Week 5 – MINIMIUM PRIZE €150
Please post your team for week 5 of Last Man Standing. There is NO automatic pick this week so if you dont post a team you are out. If you are not on the list on the Last Man tab you have not yet posted a team or paid but due to automatic picks you are still in the competioion with one life. If you wish to post a team please do so and pay Paul by the weekend, then you will be added to the list.
